San Francisco’s Chinatown district is just a short drive or a 25-minute walk away, and the Civic Center, featuring Beaux-Arts architecture, museums and tourist attractions is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is located approximately a 30-minute drive from San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

  • Dining Credit: The included credit must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Credit can be used at any onsite venue (excludes minibar and room service). No minimum spend applies.
  • Daily breakfast is served at Spoke Cafe from 6am to 12:30pm or Rise Over Run from 10am to 2pm. Spoke Cafe offers coffee, parfaits and breakfast sandwiches. Rise Over Run offers a la carte American breakfast. Breakfast includes one non-alcoholic beverage, entree and side dish or pastry.
  • The late check-out is subject to availability and will be confirmed on arrival if available.
  • Waived resort fee includes: Destination Charge with premium WiFi, daily US$15 food and beverage credit for use in all outlets, two refillable water bottles, morning yoga classes and bicycle rentals. Also includes occupancy tax, CA Tourism, Moscone Expansion District, and SF Tourism Improvement District Assessments.
  • Valet parking is US$80 per day.

During our stay at the Timbri Hotel in San Francisco, we were truly impressed by the exceptional hospitality and professionalism of the security team, especially Kerry and Tenari. They went above and beyond to make sure we always felt safe and comfortable, both inside the hotel and in the surrounding area. Being Australian, we had no idea what San Francisco would be like. meeting these two incredible people has encouraged us to definitely be coming back to not only San Francisco but Timbri hotel. Their friendly personalities and approachable manner made a huge difference — they not only ensured our safety but also took the time to share local insights, recommendations, and genuinely uplifting conversations. It’s rare to meet people who combine professionalism with such warmth and positivity. Knowing Kerry and Tenari were there gave us complete peace of mind throughout our stay. They are a true credit to the Timbri Hotel, and their dedication deserves to be recognized. Being a tourist a hotel is a hotel, they’re all the same in our eyes. But not Timbri, Timbri has these two employees which makes them top tier in my eyes. All the way from Australia we want to say thankyou Kerry, Tenari and Timbri hotel for making our holiday amazing

From the moment I arrived at the Timbrey Hotel, I felt welcomed. The front desk staff was warm, accommodating, and informative, and had me checked in right away. The room itself was beautiful—comfortable, well-appointed, and stocked with everything I needed. I especially appreciated the in-room coffee machine; the coffee was excellent and a great touch that made me feel taken care of. One highlight of my stay was heading up to the roof deck for a drink and some food. The food was delicious and well done, and the atmosphere on the roof was fantastic. A big shout-out to Jinx (the bartender) who made me an incredible Japanese gin martini—she was knowledgeable, friendly, and a true pleasure to talk with. Brunch the next morning on the roof deck was another standout—delicious and memorable, making it a great way to end the stay. While the location is near the Tenderloin, I never felt unsafe…for access to all parts of the city, it’s ideal. Overall, my stay at the Timbri Hotel was excellent from start to finish, and I look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

The actual hotel is beautiful. The rooms are small with thin walls, but nice. The immediate and surrounding location is rough. Honestly couldn’t be worse from what we saw. It’s in/on the edge of the Tenderloin so the homeless population is dense with a lot of very obvious drug selling and use happening, violence, and generally uncomfortable behavior. They have security posted out front and both the entrance and elevator require key cards to access which certainly made a difference. The hotel also backs up to a venue that was understandably loud. The sound proofing for the rooms isn’t great so it was pretty loud. It’s kind of far from general attractions and isn’t in an area where you might safely or comfortably walk to destinations. We often Ubered to a safer area and walked or biked from there. Uber and Waymo won’t pick up or drop off right at the entrance of the hotel so you’ll have to wait on the corner where it’s a little sketchy. The advice we got from locals was to gtfo if we could, but to otherwise keep our heads on a swivel and try to mind our business. There was also an unexpected fee due at check in that was about $100 per day that wasn’t mentioned anywhere when we booked with a third party so that’s something to be mindful of.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Very dangerous neighborhood, lots of crime -even in broad daylight- just steps from main entrance!! Hotel managers are horrible & refusing to honor previously promised refund, perhaps the worst customer service we ever experienced at any Hilton anywhere!! Nightmare experience, located in “the tenderloin” so do your research!!! I was actually promised a refund after pulling up at the 'Timbri Hotel San Francisco, Curio Collection by Hilton' and seeing guys arguing outside waving GUNS around in broad daylight! The "valet" driver literally had a bullet proof vest on, I've never seen that before in my life-- and I had my 14 month old son with me in the car, so there was NO way I was going to stay there. There were also loads of unhoused people camping out and getting high on the sidewalks too literally right on the same block, just opposite where the guys fighting with the guns were. (It seemed like the guys with the guns arguing had also been selling drugs or something). This was all only steps from the front doors to the hotel!! It was truly horrifying. It was such a terrifying scene that I literally wasn’t even willing to pull over or park my rental car there. I’m no stranger to traveling or being in seedy neighborhoods but this was truly next level horrific. I called Hilton Honors and explained everything and insisted on a last minute cancelation given the circumstances -(I didn’t feel safe staying there, especially with my son!) and I even said I would rebook a DIFFERENT Hilton for the same night, but that I just needed to cancel the Timbri. They initially agreed to refund me for the Timbri (I was still going to be paying for my other room at another Hilton now anyway), and the HH phone managers initially made me feel like they cared and would make it right. In the end, I got charged for both hotels for that night anyway, and now every time I call, to follow up on the refund I was promised- everyone gives me a different story about why I haven't been refunded or why I can't be refunded. Even the HH phone support admits they see the instructions from HH support that were sent to the Timbri hotel internally, asking them to refund me, but that the Timbri hotel continue to deny the refund. It’s now been weeks of this back and forth. Apparently only the on-site Timbri hotel managers can issue the refund. Last I heard, someone from the Timbri front desk had messaged HH phone support to say I should’ve gone inside the hotel to speak to security in the lobby that day if I felt unsafe, and since I didn’t, they’ve decided not to refund me— (although this story also changes every time I call)! Regardless- it’s ridiculous — would you get out of the car if people were waving guns around outside?!? Especially if you had your baby in the car with you?! I cannot believe Hilton Timbri is now refusing to honor the refund on top of everything else. I don’t blame them for their location or the neighborhood, but I do hold them accountable for this horrible / dishonest business practice and perhaps the worst customer service I’ve experienced in years. So beware!!! Do your research!!!! The tenderloin is one of the worst / most dangerous parts of San Francisco!! Read up on this neighborhood. I wish I’d seen the other warnings on Yelp and other places.
