The reason I’m giving three stars is because my first visit was incredible-the service was exceptional, and the experience truly felt one of a kind. Unfortunately, my second visit did not live up to that standard. I was so excited to return, especially since I brought a friend visiting from California during the week of my wedding. I had bragged about how amazing the spa was, but the experience this time left me disappointed. We opted for a male massage therapist, and the massage itself was very uncomfortable. At one point, we even had to ask him to ease up. He had removed his shoes, and the entire room smelled unpleasant, which made it difficult to relax. To make matters worse, several men in suits—presumably resort staff—were walking around the spa area while we were in robes. This felt intrusive and uncomfortable, and it really took away from the sense of peace and privacy that a spa should provide. I was embarrassed after recommending this place so highly to my friend, and sadly, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

We booked One Ocean for our anniversary and were a bit disappointed. We booked an “ocean view” room, that really was a view of the parking lot next-door and a sliver of ocean in the far distance. We were given no higher option on Booking.com and were told we should have booked an “ocean front” room. The window could not be opened and condensation built up so you could barely even see out the window! We told the staff of our disappointment and there was little they could do as there were no other rooms available, but they did buy us a bottle of champagne, which was nice. We really like the staff! The rooms are not bad, but a bit worn. The furniture is nicked and dinged, the cold water tap was hard to turn, and also produced warm water. I could not get ABC and CBS on the TV so I had to watch college football on my laptop. The thing that bugged us the most was that they charge $35 for valet parking in their own parking lot with no option to park yourself. They also charged a $40 resort fee which gives you access to the pool and beach chairs. I believe these should just be included in the room price Which was well over $350 for the night we stayed with our very sad view. I understand they are renovating and will probably give them another chance. But with all the extra fees, I’m not sure that will happen.
