We booked out the entire resort for our international work conference across 3 days. My room 228 was dated. 1 bedroom suite. Brown stained carpet, ripped on the edges and rough couches, Comfy bed and clean bathroom area. No amenities like ear buds or the basics like 2 x bottles of bottled water per day. Just tap water. For $395 per night. Wasn't of great value, things like rusted through gutters, dated walk ways. Everything needs a good pressure clean and a lick of paint externally. The staff though are great, service was good, the buffet breakfast was great. The conference food catering was below average. Not sure if that was inhouse catered or externally but catering for 700-800 people hard to keep the food fresh and amazing. Overall 3 out of 5 stars. Great location. Overall for what the place is it's a good get away. Parts of the hotel have been renovated but my room wasn't. If you are staying ask for a renovated room.

Stayed here for a conference and for the price tag, was fairly underwhelmed. The hotel seemed woefully underprepared and understaffed. Services were truncated, restaurant, bars and room service all closed/unavailable for most of the time as they allocated all resources to the convention centre. Food was average, cocktails were plain bad. Rooms had no amenities, no spare blankets, drinking water etc. Staff didnt offer to help with bags on arrival out of the taxi, or to the rooms. Fine for us but for $350-400/night, you expect this to be offered, especially for guests staying upstairs. staff had buggies to get around, this was never offered to ferry guests around, nor were shuttle buses offered. Bathroom had a weird smell and there were ants.

I recently stayed at Novotel Sunshine Coast. The location is peaceful but a bit isolated, so having a car is helpful. There are a few things to do around the hotel, and breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety. However, the service could be improved. Reception didn’t provide much information at check-in, and there was a mix-up with our breakfast booking, which was frustrating. The room was okay, and while the overall facilities were decent, the experience felt more like a 3.5-star stay rather than the 4-star standard expected.
