This was one of the best hotel stays I have had in a long time. The attentiveness of staff was exceptional. I had surgery on the morning of check in and needed extra help to get our luggage from the carpark to our room. The room was a very good size. A very comfortable bed (my wife is very sensitive to these things) and good bathroom facilities. A great location close to the Esplanade

Our room was excellent. We were upgraded to a room looking over the pool and the top floor. The bed was very comfy, the staff very friendly. Mel who has looked after us many times for breaky is the best. So nice to have a bubbly happy and colourful person to greet you. She is a delight and makes everyone very welcome.

This is our second time staying here. It’s in a convenient location - everything was within a 10 minute walk. Room was clean and tidy. The pool is great with a swim up bar but you need to get there early as the lounge chairs and bean bags are taken fast so you’ll end up sitting on the ground. Food was good, they have a different special on every night. My biggest complaint and disappointment is the rooms are not soundproof. We got stuck next door to a baby who screamed all hours of the night. You could also hear anyone in the hallway as clear as day or when people were on the balcony. You could even hear when the neighbours talked to loud or laughed. Not great when you’re trying to sleep after a long day or wanting a sleep in. We stayed in a room that had an adjoining door, maybe an apartment would be best to keep noise at bay. For the price you pay to stay here, this was a disappointment so keep that in mind.

Rooms at the Novotel appeared to be recently renovated and clean. Bathroom was very small but very clean. Rooms were nice and spacious and clean as well. But there were these tiny bugs that were crawling around in our room, and our AC literally leaked on the floor. They came and sprayed for the bugs and put some towels under the AC. The staff were all nice and pleasurable. The exterior of the property looked terrible though. Very dirty and old and run down. The location was great - close to lots of shops and restaurants. Very busy hotel - lots of guests and the lobby was full of people. Breakfast was okay, just the same options every day. It was an okay stay for the short time we were there but I wouldn't stay again. It just didn't "feel" comfortable or welcoming.
