The hotel is centrally located within walkable distance to many places like The Forbidden Palace, Tiananmen Square and metro station. It has a grand and beautiful lobby but rooms are not as impressive. It's also worth to mention their breakfast buffet with lots of selection and unbeatable view of Wangfujin streets. Staff was really helpful. They helped me book tickets for The Forbidden City and arranged a private tour to the Great Wall for me on my last day. Overall it's great value for money so I still give it a 5 star rating.

Hotel is located near the famous Wangfujing Street and Jinyu Hutong MRT station (around 200 m straight from the hotel). Room is spacious, facility are good too. There is an 'Halal' indicator on each breakfast menu, super helpful for moslem traveler. you also can easily find Halal restaurant nearby the hotel for alternative.

The location of the hotel is definitely a plus — it's close to a metro station, which makes exploring the city much easier. Some of the staff also speak a little bit of English, which can help with basic communication. Unfortunately, that’s about where the positives end. At check-in, I was given zero information. No explanation about where breakfast was served, no overview of hotel facilities — nothing. Someone simply walked me to the correct elevator, and after that, I was left to figure things out on my own. The bed was a major downside for me. It felt rock hard, like sleeping on the floor — far from comfortable. The toilet also didn’t function properly and would occasionally fail to flush. As for the service: some reception staff are helpful. When I had trouble ordering a taxi through the Didi app, one of them helped by ordering one for me. But that was more the exception than the rule. On another occasion, when I needed a ride to the airport and ran into the same issue, they briefly looked at it and then left me to deal with it myself. Housekeeping staff are generally friendly, but even here things weren’t quite right. Even with the “Not Now” sign on the door (which I assume means “do not disturb”), they still entered the room. That makes you wonder what the point of the sign is. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re looking for comfort and good service. There are undoubtedly better options in the same price range in Beijing.

This international branded hotel has front desk staff that defiles the reputation of the chain Stayed at hotel between 19 and 22 Feb. On the first night we were given a room with a bathroom that is old, dirty and smells of stale urine all the time. The curtains were ill fitting making the room look very unkept. We complained and the next day was given a better room but still one that is under the standard expected of Novotel. The first room should never have been given to a paying guest let alone a guest who is trying to be a loyal member through the Accor ALL program. However, the staff at concierge were excellent and very helpful with great information on where to go and how to get there. These people are truly representative of the values the chain is striving to attain. I have rated this hotel a 2 star only because it was saved by the concierge staff. Otherwise this hotel truly deserves a 1 Star ( if that)
