Wonderful place to stay, but far outside the city center. You will want to consider the tram to get closer.

Nice hotel, mostly friendly staff. No air conditioning in room. Switch and bait pricing on a car rental by the hotel concierge resulted in our renting directly ourselves. A good stay generally, aside from the small matter of my wife’s property removed from the drawer in the bathroom. Hotel staff claim no property was taken, and accuse my wife of lying about her missing bags of channel make up, brushes and personal medications. Certainly not a huge loss, but the implied trust a hotel guest inherently must have with a hotel’s management and staff is clearly not to be found at the Hotel Okura, Amsterdam. Reading other reviews, thievery and unaccountability seem to be a common theme at this hotel. There are better hotels in Amsterdam. Don’t stay here. Not worth the risk.
