This location can not be beat if you are heading to Fenway Park, MGM Music Hall or any of the bars near Lansdowne. Quick walk over the Bridge, extremely clean and very friendly staff. Room service was quick. The downstairs bar had great drinks and a very fresh raw bar. They take your car at valet for i believe $75 for the night. Will stay here again next time we are in town.

We stayed at Hotel Commonwealth for our anniversary weekend after a friend recommended it, and we’re really glad we did. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, and the lobby has a great first impression. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. At check-in, they gave us a refillable metal water bottle, which was really handy while exploring the city. The concierge staff were also quick to help with little things like bringing up ice (since there aren’t ice machines on the floors) or letting us know they’d send up small appliances if we needed them. We had a corner room with a bay-window seat, and the view was fantastic. The room itself was spacious, very clean, and well kept. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the hotel provides cozy robes and slippers, which made it feel extra relaxing. Having a in room mini fridge was a nice bonus as well. The hotel doesn’t have its “own” bar, but there are two great restaurants attached: Row34: Amazing seafood and cocktails. We had dinner there one night and went back for drinks on another. Blue Ribbon Sushi: Excellent sushi and definitely worth a visit. There are also plenty of other restaurants within walking distance, so you won’t run out of options. The location is hard to beat. Fenway Park is just a 5–10 minute walk over the bridge, and Boston University is right around the corner. We also walked to Newbury Street and Back Bay in about 20 minutes… it’s flat, easy, and the architecture along the way makes it enjoyable. Public transportation is right at the hotel too, with the Kenmore Green Line station underneath and a bus stop out front. The only flaw I’d like to note are: Parking is pricey at $75 a night. We didn’t have a car, but that could add up fast. There’s no pool, spa, or rooftop bar/lounge. Overall, the hotel is comfortable, stylish, and in a great spot for exploring Boston. The service and dining options really stood out, and even though a few amenities are missing, we had a great time and would absolutely stay here again.

This is genuinely the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We stayed 9/15-9/16, we told them we were bringing a baby, and not only did they set up a very nice quality crib, they also included a baby blanket, a bear and organic/gentle soaps and lotions for her. The valet staff was so friendly and fast getting our car (including at 4 am). The bar was also excellent, and the check in staff were extremely friendly as well. Also, the food we ordered up to our room was the best food we had on our trip to Boston. We will never stay anywhere else!

We reserved an exec suite, room 426! The room number specifically is important to note because while the room was beautiful, the only part that was air conditioned was the living room - the bedroom did not get any air flow at all. Maintenance came up and shrugged and was like “poorly designed room, the other ones aren’t like this”… unfortunately the hotel was otherwise sold out, they wouldn’t refund us, and we drove home at 2am. Which is such a shame because it really was a lovely room in a great location, but the thermostat was 73 and rising. No thanks! 👎🏻
