I have not stayed in my room yet, our reservations are in September, however, I am rating 5 stars solely based on the customer service experience I had today! My husband and I are traveling to Boston to go to a concert at Fenway Park and this hotel caught my eye. I had some questions about my stay and wanted to confirm our reservation, I was assisted by the most friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic concierge, his name was Chris P, and he made me so much more excited to stay here!!!! I was calling to ask general questions about our stay, but I was taken aback when Chris started talking to me about nearby attractions, how to get around the city quick, places to get a bite or relax, nearby cafes and scenic views around Boston. Chris P was so energetic, excited to answer all of my questions and even added his own suggestions for me, I want to thank him for easing my travel anxiety, and going above and beyond to make sure I get the best experience! Thank you Chris P, and I cannot wait to stay here!

The front desk staff is phenomenal! They took the time to tell us the best restaurants in Little Italy, helped us buy Red Sox hats only sold at this hotel. The elevators are an amazing tribute to baseball! The rooftop is an awesome place to have a work event!

Amazing staff. I had some unusual requests throughout my stay and they were incredibly accommodating, especially Nick. The room was pretty good. It was spacious, but weirdly, it was missing an iron and ironing board (which is something I typically expect in a room), so I had to wear wrinkled clothes. No in-room microwave or coffee maker, either, although the complimentary coffee service in the lobby was quite nice, as was the sparkling mineral water.

Our stay at Hotel Commonwealth was honestly very disappointing. The last night we stayed there, the fire alarm kept going off throughout the night. We had little ones with us, and we had to evacuate multiple times with no explanation or clear communication from staff. It was stressful and felt like such a waste of our time. On top of that, the valet is $75 a night, which is ridiculously expensive. We only used it for one day before switching to nearby parking, but they still charged us for the full valet service. Getting that refund was another headache, it took forever for them to return our money, and the customer service throughout the process was unhelpful. For the price, this hotel is just not worth it. The restaurants weren’t good, there’s really no bar or amenities, and the only highlight was being close to Fenway Park with a decent view. Outside of that, it felt overrated and overpriced. Since they’re not corporate-owned, the service doesn’t have the accountability you’d expect. Overall, not an experience I’d want to go through again.
