Located along 100 acres of prime secluded Mayan coastline, and nestled behind a mangrove nature reserve, Waldorf Astoria Cancun boasts an incredible beachfront position less than half an hour south of Cancun’s famous Hotel Zone. The peaceful, small fishing village of Puerto Morelos can be reached in 30 minutes by car, while the lively bars and cool boutiques of Playa del Carmen are less than an hour away. The hotel is located approximately a 20-minute drive from Cancun International Airport (CUN). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

This will secure your package and give you the flexibility to choose your travel dates — within the book by and validity period and subject to availability. 7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

  • Resort credit will be deducted from the room charge at checkout. May be used towards any dining outlet within the resort or on any spa treatment. Not applicable for room service, minibar, shops or transfers. Credit must be used during your stay, it is not redeemable for cash and may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable.
  • Breakfast is available at Chaya Restaurant from 7am to 11am.
  • Waldorf Astoria Spa is available for adults only. Treatment and facilities are available from 9am to 6pm. The Salon is open from 10am to 6pm.

From the concierge remembering our names to staff greeting us with authentic warmth at every turn, the hospitality here sets a new benchmark. Resort & Atmosphere: Modern elegance meets natural beauty. The property feels like a private rainforest retreat with calming energy, lush pathways, and breathtaking ocean views. Every corner feels curated — peaceful, intimate, exclusive. Suite Experience: Our room was stunning. Spacious, beautifully designed, private plunge pool, and a view that felt unreal. Luxury bedding, immaculate housekeeping, thoughtful touches throughout — comfort at the highest level. Dining: Exceptional at every meal. Fresh, vibrant flavors, artistic presentation, and outstanding cocktail and wine selections. Breakfast was a highlight (don’t miss the pastries and fresh juices). Wow—what an incredible experience at the Waldorf Astoria Cancun! This might just be the best resort in all of Cancun and the Riviera Maya. A huge shoutout to Miguel, Benjamin, Carlos, and Gabriela, who went above and beyond for us. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made it feel like we had our own personal butler service, and they were more than happy to accommodate every food preference we had. Truly outstanding service. The hotel itself is stunning—sleek marble finishes, a lobby with an amazing signature scent, and rooms that are nothing short of spectacular. Ours was a massive 6,000 sq ft suite with its own private pool, and it felt like a dream. Everything is brand new, immaculately maintained, and you can tell the property puts real effort into making sure the environment is pristine—no bugs at all, which is rare for the area. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the ocean. Unfortunately, the water here has a brownish tint and doesn’t compare to the turquoise beaches you’ll find in Cancun’s Hotel Zone—it actually looked less appealing than the California coast. Also, dining is definitely on the pricier side, so expect to spend a bit more. That said, the overall experience was phenomenal. From the staff to the property itself, it exceeded my expectations. I’d rate it a solid 6/5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, personalized stay.

If you want to be treated like royalty this the place for you. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with cold fresh towels and a Mayan smoke welcome. Once inside we were given refreshing welcome drinks. Our room was beautiful with a private pool and soaking tub. We were celebrating our baby's first birthday and the staff acknowledged this special milestone everytime we went to eat. Our room also had all the necessary stuff for our baby like a crib, baby tub, bottle warmer. They also gifted an artisan teddy bear. Honestly this has been one the best hotel experience for our family. The staff remember us by name and that makes a big difference. The food at the restaurants was amazing. The place was spotless so clean. All the team members made our experience amazing. Cant wait to go back soon!

Unfortunately really disappointed after our stay here. This was the first time we have stayed at a Waldorf. First, I would like to call out Miguel, Jorge and Bri for making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Every time we were in the lobby we were greeted by name and they were very helpful in arranging transportation. Esteban at the pool was also great. Our room was impeccably clean and very spacious with a really nice view. The property is stunning. However, we were VERY disappointed with the food. We travel and stay in luxury hotels frequently and I lived in Tulum for a year so I feel ai have a fair idea on food and drink prices. Charging 400-500 MXN ($21-28) for cocktails is insane. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Tamarindo in May and they were charging 300-350 for cocktails. I was shocked. The food prices were equally exploitative. $35 for nachos, $38 for fish tacos, $45 for a waygu beef burger that was inedible. The fish tacos were just okay and the only food that we enjoyed during our stay. The last night we ordered chicken tenders and a quesadilla from the room service kids menu and we each took two bites and couldn’t eat anymore. Our first night my husband ordered the waygu beef burger and I ordered chicken pasta. The fettuccini sauce was so rich I couldn’t eat it and the chicken was not seasoned at all. The same on the quesadilla. The pool service was pretty good, but there could be some improvements at JA’O and Chaya. We ran downstairs in the morning to grab coffee before having to get on a work call and waited almost 20 minutes for a latte and espresso. We had lunch at JA’O and were the only people in the entire restaurant given its off season and our cocktails came out after our tacos which took 30-40 minutes. While the prices were insane, we would’ve rated the hotel 4 stars if the food was at least good and able to semi justify the prices.
