Just spent 3 nights here and we will definitely be back!! Well-priced, amazing location, and clean, quiet rooms. What more could you want! We usually stay at the Prince Kitano just around the corner but for this shorter trip, wanted something a little more affordable without sacrificing comfort. This spot delivered in every way. The rooms themselves are a great size and very clean. If you look closely, yes, you can tell the place is older - I'm talking chipped paint on the trim in like 1 spot and a corner of the carpet that was a tiny bit beat up - but absolutely nothing that negatively impacted our stay. Biggest highlights: -Lovely restaurant. We visited the downstairs restaurant for dinner and dessert; had great food and service both times. Didn't make up to the rooftop this time though. -Fantastic service. From when we called 2 months before our stay to inquire about a king bed to helping us book transportation out of the city on check-out day, the staff here is attentive and meticulous. -Goodies! I love this new thing where you get goodies. We were allowed up to 2 freebies (chips, cookies, water, Gatorade, etc.) each day. We were boring and picked water every time, but during a NY summer day? That was priceless. -Noise level. Sure, I heard the guestroom door across from us close loudly a couple times, but I was pleased by how much noise is canceled out. We were on the 7th floor and heard the occasional car honking, but falling asleep was SO easy here. -Location is great. We walked (on different days) to the MoMA, Times Square, Central Park, and Gramercy Tavern. Everything is like 20-40 mins away on foot which was very doable for us. Downsides of this place? Few and far between. The elevator could be a little bit of a wait, but compared to what I've dealt with while waiting for elevators in Vegas hotels, this was nothing. Other than that ... The bathroom was VERY dimly lit. I was initially excited about the makeup mirror in the bathroom, but ended up doing my makeup in front of our window to get enough light. But that's kind of a guarantee with any hotel stay in my experience. All in all? We'll be back and we would recommend this to anyone spending a few nights in NYC!

It's a great hotel to stay at. The service is good, and the restaurant is good. It's close to the Empire State Building on Fifth Avenue. It's a good option.

Great quiet location. Room had a smell of a tabac in it. The bed was very spacious and comfortable.

Stayed here as a kid in a one-bedroom suite and again this past weekend in a standard room—overall, I have mixed feelings. The hotel is definitely showing its age, contrary to what I remembered. While the lobby remains nice, the elevators aren’t air-conditioned and the overall property feels worn. In my room (1004), nearly every piece of furniture was scratched, the carpet was uneven, and some switches were visibly stained. The AC wasn’t working when I arrived and took about an hour to fix. I also learned the hotel had a history of bed bugs—though I didn’t see any in my room, it's still unsettling. The on-site restaurant no longer offers room service (or if it does, it’s not accessible—the QR code was disabled). Additionally, the $40 daily resort fee seemed excessive given how little it actually covered. On the plus side, the room was mostly clean and well insulated from outside noise, including fireworks, thanks to a courtyard-facing view. All things considered, I think there are newer, better-maintained hotels at lower price points nearby. I might consider returning only if I needed the extra space of a suite, but as of now, I can’t recommend this property.
