Remarkable! That’s the best way to describe The Hotel Britomart. We loved the art, the eco-conscious identity, and the overall atmosphere. From the moment we arrived until our departure, the staff were simply amazing. We finally managed to visit the beautiful Library Lounge (it was booked for a private event the night before), and what a treat it was! A special thank you to the lounge manager, Luciano, who made us one of the best — if not the best — martinis we’ve ever had. Thank you for a truly memorable stay!

Walking into the hotel, you’d realise that it’s not set up like a “normal” hotel. No imposing long check in counter, but standing tables where you’re checked in. Definitely more personal. Entering the room, the automated blinds opened to reveal a lovely view of the wharf. I’ve read reviews that the room is small, but it’s perfect for a lone traveller like me. I’m very used to the shoebox sizes of Tokyo hotels, so even with another person, it would’ve definitely worked. I love the sofa next to the window, where I’d spent time reading and watching telly. I love the stone tiles in the floor and walls of the bathroom, and the lighting made it feel like I’m in a cave. BTW, if you want your privacy or just want to keep the cold out, there is a hidden door that slides out and between the basin shelf. There’s an adequately equipped gym thought one treadmill was down the entire stay. It’s tucked away in the basement, so it wasn’t a pleasant feeling. It’s like a gym in someone’s basement. But Les Mills Britomart is just across the road and you can purchase day passes. Service wise, the staff are fantastic. Very helpful, always attentive even when you’re not asking them for help. A rare trait in these times when the service industry seems beneath most. Kudos to one and all!

We absolutely loved the hotel—it has quickly become one of our favorites. The décor and eco-friendly atmosphere are truly outstanding, creating a unique and welcoming environment. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel genuinely welcome. The highlight of our visit was enjoying drinks in The Libraries, where Lounge Manager Luciano provided exceptional hospitality that made the experience even more memorable. Well done, Hotel Britomart. We look forward to returning.

The best thing I could say about this hotel is the people who work there aim to please and are friendly. However, the hotel definitely is trying to appeal to a posh, sophisticated crowd. The location is within walking distance of most things. However, the biggest issue we had were the rooms. We selected king size bed rooms, but these felt the smallest of all the rooms we had stayed on our trip (11 total). The layout is more designed for one person than two, as there's only one place to sit and no place to put luggage (even though there was a luggage table collapsed in the closets. Sleek, minimalist and digital is what they are going for. When arriving, a staff member greeted us with a smile and showed us our rooms. Yet, when giving us directions on how to use our rooms, was very fast in explaining. The power switches blended in with the current color, so if it was dark, you had to feel around for the button. We only discovered the library hangout spot the evening before leaving and when asking if we could have dinner, we were told we needed a reservation, yet when returning from dinner, half the restaurant was empty. Also, while a nice ambiance, the thumpa thumpa music was so loud, I could barely speak to my husband sitting besides me at the bar. I'm glad we only spent two nights here and more time during our initial stay at the Hotel Debrett down the street.
