After a couple of years, still excellent service. Everyone is very courtesy and just all around a good environment. The hotel is still beautiful and clean. This is a very stand out employee. This man Shikhar Jain is the poster child of coustmer service. I never had the pleasure to meet someone like Shikhar very polite and courteous service is blue ribbon service. Who ever hired him thumb 👍🏾. Overall the staff is a class act. Also we didn't get her name but the young lady who was working on 17th floor at check out was on top of her business on October 26 2025. We never had a bad experience with anyone that works at the hotel

We really enjoyed this place. It is well decorated, lots of seating areas in the lobby. Everything is beautiful. Free water in the room and at reception. They also have free coffee in a cafe, but we didn't take advantage of that feature. There is a restaurant and bar onsite. Our party had a birthday during our stay and they went above and beyond to make her feel special! The beds were so comfy. It felt so good waking up all cozy. There wasn't any noise coming from outside. The location is absolute perfection! We walked to restaurant row, deep dish pizza, water taxi, the French market, magnificent mile, etc. Everything you could want was easy to get to! There are certain spots that were a bit tight or small in the rooms, but overall I feel like for the city that is to be expected.

Had an amazing stay at The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel Chicago Loop! The room was clean, stylish, and super comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The staff was welcoming and always ready to help with a smile. The location was perfect — close to great restaurants, theaters, and shopping. I really liked the elegant design and cozy atmosphere throughout the hotel. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely stay here again!

This would have been 1* had the $32 PER NIGHT 'destination' fee - which covers, drum-roll: WATER, GYM ACCESS, WI-FI and COFFEE (which is absurd, given every other hotel in the world offers as part of the price) not been waived when the 'WATER' was not restocked to my room. There are $7 bottles of Evian in the room as well as 2x 500ml of water which come as part of the 'destination fee'. The breakfast was outstanding, but did cost $30 plus tip for good portions of granola, potatoes and cheese, plus 2 eggs. Eric at the desk was very understanding. The hotel should absolutely waive the 'destination fee'. It is a total scam and gives the hotel a very bad reputation, not to mention stressful for guests. The 'Pelaton experience' in the gym - I was expecting live classes with 50+ bikes - is in fact a single exercise bike with Pelaton videos built in (this does include virtual cycling, and class cycling but on a small screen). Underwhelming, though no doubt an investment. The gym had quite a lot to be desired frankly, basic. It is a 'classic' hotel. It gave a feel of 'Old Chicago'. I am from the UK and I would class it with Britannia hotels, which are old school, but basically a lower cost brand as well. My room was huge, with a huge bed, and huge bathroom. It is in the centre of the DownTown area. Eric deserves a customer service award and promotion. He saved my experience from being one of credit card chargebacks, and 1* reviews.
