Great luxury hotel. Rooms are very quiet, well equipped, clean and roomy. Bed was very comfortable. Check in was efficient. I had an issue with the final bill showing mini bar items which I had not taken but they agreed to take it out. They put sensors on it so I guess that those items were moved by room service. Personally I hate those sensors and never ever use mini bars. Continental breakfast was OK at first but very repetitive (same thing every day) and service was slow and distracted (long wait, missing items). I have not tried the restaurant for dinner (good reputation with locals) nor the gym which looked clean and well equipped. Location is ideal near downtown and McGill.

Excellent location! Metro station is only 5-10mins walk. Everything else is about 15mins - 30mins walk, while Old Port is about 35mins - 40mins walk. Staff is wonderful, especially Gabrielle from the front desk (night) who was super responsive to our requests. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The only critique that I would make is the sound proof of the room could be better. We could hear the other room using the blow dryer, and the renovation drilling sound.

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel this past week. Staff were super helpful and nice, they welcomed my daughter with a nice little welcome package. Service was amazing, from the front desk, to valet and to the restaurant. Rooms are very clean and everything well functioning. Location was accessible to all the shops and restaurants and felt very safe. I highly recommend!

Check in seamless. Room was lovely but so small. People in hall could see me inside if door opens so very awkward. Barely room for a suitcase. 1 chair so couldn't even order a meal in room for 2. Bed is amazing. Hard to get the shampoo soap etc out if the shower canisters and awkward position. No makeup towlettes or nice bathroom amentities. Blow dryer was in closet and hard to find. Housekeeping missed 1 day and turn down another. Gym lovely. No pool or similar which is unfortunate. Great location. We also had a power failure which wasnt the hotels fault but was a disruption to our stay. Robes are subpar for luxury. I've stayed at many similar 5 star hotels and feel this hotel could improve slightly but overall still a nice stay.
