I don't mind this place it is in a good location The bar man is great We have had most meals in the restaurant and they are very good Some parts could do with a coat of paint but everything else is fine The room was clean and nice We had a great view

If you are looking for accommodation where service matters most this will suit you! The staff are overall friendly and attentive. Buffet breakfast included a good selection. Rooms were clean, comfortable, neat & tidy. Location is slightly out of central but easily walkable and refreshing if you prefer a quieter area out of the hustle and bustle.

The location is very good, right across the road from the beautiful Esplanade and foreshore. A short walk to the hustle and bustle dining precinct but away from all the noise and crowds. The whole hotel is a little old. It looks like it's had a great life. The room was clean but the bathroom has quite a bit of mould in the silicon and some on the roof. I imagine it's hard in such humidity to prevent this growth but should be a priority to work against it. TV was a smaller older flatscreen. It worked but perhaps a bit dated. The buffet breakfast was nice but pushed my budget at $35 pp. Staff were friendly.

We stayed 4 nights in the hotel. Unfortunately, we could not check in before 3 pm. That is hotel's rule and we had to respect it. The girl on the reception said they will call us if room is ready before 3 pm but that didn't happen. Hotel is old and in a need of renovation. Position of hotel has positives and negatives. It is short walk to the Esplanade and city centre. It's very close to ambulance, hospital,  medical centres, cancer centre. Personal in hotel were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious, so was bathroom. We had choice of our room to be clean on daily basis or to receive $10 on daily basis if we decide otherwise. The pool was not heated,  it was too cold, so we have decided not to use it. Our room was on 9th floor with nice mountain views. On the first night we have been disturbed by child crying next door. Our room was joined with door to the other guests room. On 18th of August the hotel had some rooftop maintenance and they did put notice that guests may be disturbed by noise from 9 to 15 pm. But this has not been case, the noise was laud and continue even after 3.30 pm. The  enoyed and koud noise has continued on 19th of August without any notice. We had an issue with fridge, it stoped working on 3rd day; this has been resolved quickly. Wi fi was inconsistent and often we needed to log in upon return to the hotel. Wish I can say different but I am not sure if I would be recommending this hotel.  I would return here if some think important and crucial for me ( we all al different and some things they are important for me, they don't have to be important for others) are improved.
