Amazing location in the French Quarter. Beautiful hotel and the highlight for me was the friendly staff who were so warm and helpful. A special shout out to the gentleman who helped us park our car when the street the parkade is on was blocked off for the Halloween parade. We SOOO appreciated you!!! For constructive feedback - would have loved a fridge in the room. The mattresses and pillows weren't super comfortable. But overall a beautiful spot in a great location.

Location is perfect. Service is good. Bellman are very kind, welcoming, and helpful. With that said, I was not impressed with this hotel whatsoever. We stayed 4 nights and I would have moved hotels but it was a very busy weekend and I was unable to get in at another hotel. We arrived at 4:30 pm or so and wasn't able to get into our room until 5:30 pm. Our room was not ready. I did receive a 100$ comp on our bill for the inconvenience. The room is extremely small and not close to luxurious. Bathroom was ridiculous. I'm a little flabbergasted at paying what we did and expected much nicer. The carpet is old and disgusting that I did not dare to walk barefoot. The french doors to outside our room were facing another wall in a corner. It was weird to not walk out and be in the courtyard. It was like opening up into a little cubby hole. There were multiple rats frolicking in the courtyard at night and a dead one that was there our whole stay. The rooftop bar/pool was under construction so didn't get to experience that. The elevators were a major issue with 1 down, and the other two with very heavy traffic so it was a pain to take them and have to wait. Unable to locate stairs that took us down to the lobby. Then on our 3rd day there the 2nd elevator went down. It was repaired by the next morning. My room was next to the ice room and I could hear running water all night. It was one of THE LOUDEST rooms I have ever stayed in. I could hear every word in the hallway and outside the courtyard any time someone was out there. I slept horribly! The beds are fairly comfortable but the pillows are so soft, they had to be wadded up to even be able to sleep on. They were so flat. Overall, it was not somewhere I would ever stay again especially for what we paid.

Booked a single night because it looked beautiful on Google. We arrived to find out the lobby, and roof top pool/terrace area are closed for construction. Would have been nice to know before hand. The website says valet is complimentary for hotel guests, however, after calling it's actually $56 a night unless you pay for the room and park package. The room was very dated. Not even in a "historic" way. The TV was easily from 2005. The sheer curtains were ripped in half, and there was also a 2' crusted stain on the carpet right in the entry way. Our double beds were basic bouncy coil springs from the cheapest outlet you could find. Pillows were so-so. The bathroom was okay, and the shower was nothing to be excited about. The AC did work incredibly well in the room to the point of having to turn it up a few degrees. I really truly wanted to love this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's also in an absolute perfect location for walking the French Quarter. I have no doubt that once they finish renovations and make some updates it will be wonderful. Until then, I'll probably stay somewhere else.

We are in town for a wedding, the Omni Royal was recommended for our stay as it was close to the wedding venue. Prior to arrival we were told that the pool and fitness area was closed due construction. Upon arrival we noticed the lobby was under renovation. Then the elevators were being worked on with construction starting at 8am. The bar area is cute and the staff is friendly. If you want o be in the center of everything this is a great spot. If you want to be able to sleep this is not a great spot. Evening noise with drunk people shouting, trash pick ups, some rooms are not well insulated from sounds, and cigarette smoke seeps in from every room. The rooms need lots of updating. For $800 a night there are better places to stay, $350 would be a better price point. It might be cute when the renovations are done until then skip it.
