The hotel's management is poor. I requested a pick-up service from Kichi Station, but it didn't arrive. I waited 20 minutes and then called. The slippers in the room smelled unpleasant, and the room itself smelled bad. However, the restaurant staff were friendly, and there was a large bath, so I think hot spring enthusiasts would enjoy it.

👍🏾 The rooms are very big and comfortable. 👍🏾 It's within walking distance of The Rainbow Pine Forest and Karatsu Castle. Also very close to the JR Futaba Station. 👍🏾 The public bath is nice, but the floor around the bathing are is a bit slippery. 👍🏾 There are free toiletries for the to take in the lobby. 👍🏾 The yukata was stylish and comfortable. 😔 Breakfast was a little expensive and not as great as the first time I had stayed there. I was really disappointed that there was no omelette station. 👍🏾 The breakfast rolls and butter chicken curry were quite good.

When the beach and pool are open, it is suitable for leisure. I do not recommend staying here for relaxation purposes. This is solely due to the clientele that varies depending on the time of year; I stayed at the end of August and there were many families with children. As a result, many parents left their children unattended, and we often saw them doing whatever they wanted in the lounge, swimming in the bath, and playing hide-and-seek in the restaurant. As for the room, although it was a classic twin, the soundproofing from the hallway was poor, and I was woken up at around 6:30 by voices and running footsteps from the hallway. The food was delicious and the view of the sea was nice, so the above issues may be acceptable to some people. In other words, for some people, this is a good facility at any time of year. It was a bit too much for me.

I’ve been an Accor member for many years so it saddens me somewhat to say that this property really barely passes, and giving it a three star rating is me at my most generous. I think that the lobby is where most of the refurbishment money has been spent because it looks modern, like a Mercure should, but the rooms are another matter. They have not been upgraded and they looked really really old. I spent two nights there and it was a perfect storm of unfortunate events. The room has no adjustable climate control and so it was quite warm and hard for all of us to sleep. I had to borrow two fans from the front desk, and I slept on the tatami nearest to an open window, The tatami area had no power sockets so I could not charge my devices while I slept. The toilet is also small and plasticky. If you are 6 ft and over, I believe you will find it uncomfortable. While there are washers/dryers available on the second floor, I put in ten pieces of clothing and it still took 90min to get them to 90% dry (I slept at 1130pm that day) The best thing here is the service staff - always ready and willing to help. Food was also what I’d expect from Mercure, The breakfast and dinner were expansive, but there was definitely recycling of dishes from dinner to breakfast. I hope this property gets fully upgraded soon. I will still remain a loyal Accor member but the Karatsu Seaside which is across from this hotel seems to be a more tempting hotel, at this time. I didn’t take any pictures because frankly, I wasn’t too impressed (especially for the price I paid)
