Your private boat ride on Koggala Lake will take you across the water to Talathuduwa Temple Island where you can explore the temple before visiting the Fish Spa to have the fish nibble at your feet, revealing soft skin. You’ll then visit a neighbouring small island and shown how cinnamon is harvested before circling a Bird Sanctuary and returning across the lake for a tuk-tuk ride back to the hotel.
The hotel is also a fantastic launchpad for safari day trips to Udawalawe National Park and Yala National Park, both about three hours’ drive away and home to leopards, Asian elephants, buffalo, eagles, langur monkeys and many more exotic animals.
