  • Special animal encounter inclusion is with either a giraffe, tiger, lion or meerkat, subject to availability on the day of departure.Specific animal introduction requests cannot be accommodated.
  • Specific room preferences and animal enclosure location requests cannot be accommodated.
  • Children under 6 cannot be accommodated.
  • No spirits are served or permitted to be brought on-site.
  • Pre-dinner drinks commence at 6.15pm (before this, the minibar in the room is available.)
  • If you arrive by 1pm on your first day you can enjoy an additional afternoon tea including hot and cold food and sweets.

Jamala Wildlife Lodge is exceptional. The staff and volunteers are fantastic. There is not a thing that could be complained about. The Accommodation and the food were excellent and the program for a 2 day stay was so well put together nothing was rushed the walking tours were very informative and the meet and greet with some of the wildlife was the bonus.

An exceptional, unique experience. From the welcoming staff on arrival, the beautiful African style decor, amazing unique animal experiences, delicious meals - everything was excellent. On paper it seems expensive but so much is included along with so many 'extras' - it was all worth it. The zoo does so much to help save our planet's animals that we feel some of the money has helped protect vulnerable species too.
