The hotel is approximately a 10-minute drive from Monterey Regional Airport (MRY), or an hour drive from San Jose International Airport (SJC). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

We had an excellent experience at the Intercontinental last week. The Service was awesome. Tried their new happy hour menu. Food and drinks were fantastic. Checked into our room. You just can’t beat the ocean views. Definitely my favorite place to stay in Monterey and I’ve stated quite a few places there.

From the moment we checked in to the time we left, we truly felt completely at home. Matthew at the bell desk went above and beyond, bringing a cart all the way to our car around the corner since we were parking in the garage, and his help was much appreciated. Josh at the front desk was beyond helpful, getting us into the perfect room to accommodate my boyfriend, our fur baby, and me. Dayna at the front desk was also extremely helpful and kind—thank you both! That evening, we visited the restaurant for drinks and snacks. I didn’t catch our server’s name, but she was fantastic—so accommodating, and even opened up the area around the firepit so we could enjoy a more elevated and relaxing experience. The next morning, we had breakfast with Jesus, who was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations for things to do that day. We honestly can’t wait to return. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable stay!

I stayed here for my birthday weekend, and this hotel was absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable throughout my entire stay. The room was beautiful, the amenities were so cool , and the services exceeded my expectations. Lastly the location is next to the Monterey aquarium and walking distance to some great spots. The staff was consistently respectful, kind, and attentive. A special shoutout to Joshua, who delivered exceptional customer service , such a kind and hardworking young man! His professionalism and warm demeanor truly stood out and made my experience even more memorable. They even surprised me with the sweetest birthday card and a bottle of champagne, it was so thoughtful and they all signed it. Thank you to you all.🥲 💕 I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning!

This hotel is top tier. The staff are wonderfully trained: respectful, helpful, and friendly 💗 The rooms are clean and modern (a big priority for me). I love the bar soap (unscented) whereas the lotion has a scent a bit too strong for me (there is a coconut lime lotion in the spa which smells great tho! Maybe this hotel can consider changing to? 🙂) Location is next to the aquarium and the parking is easy to access ($45/night valet or self parking is the same price). I love how walkable the area is (the only sad thing is that all the stores are for tourists, not much charm)
