The hotel is located approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Chambéry-Savoie Airport (CMF) and Courchevel Altiport LFLJ (CVF), or a 2.5-hour drive from Geneva Airport (GVA). My wife and I stayed at the Le Fitz Roy for our honeymoon and had such a wonderful time. The room was lovely, with such a nice view of the mountains. The hotel's staff was kind, attentive and very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel offered ski-in and ski-out access and an easy-to-use locker room for our ski gear. The hotel's patio was a lovely place to unwind after a day of skiing, and even featured some live music. We also really enjoyed the hotel's spa, which included a pool, sauna, steamroom and showers. The hotel was also well located, with multiple dining options a short walk away. We highly recommend staying at Le Fitz Roy if you are looking to visit Val Thorens.

Very nice hotel. Amenities and service were better than their "brother" hotel Val Thorens from the Beaumier chain. The room was bigger, even had a terrace. The TV was smart, and nicer bathroom. Staff were very attentive. We were welcomed by a charcuterie plate, accompanied by some brownies and a wine bottle. The swimming pool was warmer and with stronger pressure on the hydromassage. The steam room was properly heated. The location is also great.

Fantastic location - cannot be beat! Extremely convenient and easy ski in / ski out. Terrific service all around - at check in, during our stay, check out. We had an issue with our Uber and the hotel staff were extremely helpful in getting us a car arranged so that we could make our train to Paris on time. The breakfast is terrific. Some reviews complain that you need to pay extra for eggs - this is not correct. The included buffet has two types of egg options. If you want a custom omelette or other custom egg dishes then you need to pay. The breakfast buffet is fulsome, fresh, and nourishing. Lunch and dinner at the hotel are also outstanding.

Just spent a week at this hotel. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was a suite and it was ok but there had clearly been a leak from the shower room and there was a large amount of water damage on the wall and floor. The menu was limited and especially for children. The location is amazing though. That is the only reason I think this is considered a 5 star hotel. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and the reality is this is not one of them. I would say it would only be a 3 at a push 4. The location and that it is listed as a 5 star it comes with the price tag that unfortunately it doesn’t warrant. It’s a real shame as this could be a really nice hotel with a better menu and a bit of maintenance and updating. As for the staff especially the restaurant manager who I asked to make something not on the menu for our daughter one night were great. Hope this review helps the management make the necessary changes.
