Ideal location close to restaurants on foot. Impeccable service. Spacious, quiet and well-equipped room (bathrobe, slippers). Very pleasant pool bar. Good and varied breakfast.

Hotel in a historic building that has undergone a very respectful renovation. The common areas are well-maintained and well-maintained, albeit with impersonal decor. Spacious, comfortable room, but with very simple decor. It's a shame the building doesn't fully utilize its decorative potential. A bathroom with only a bathtub isn't logical these days. The entire bathroom itself doesn't fit in a hotel of this category. The maintenance and cleanliness are 10/10. The best thing is the entire staff who serve you. Discreet and friendly. The breakfast is very complete and high-quality. There is parking, essential in this area. The location is perfect for exploring Salamanca. The price surprised us, in a positive way, compared to other hotels in this chain, but it's also true that their 5-star ratings fall below the brand's standards.

Though this venerable edifice parades beneath the proud banner of five stars, I daresay that, in the realm of service, it scarcely ascends beyond a modest three. The premises themselves are undeniably singular—steeped in history and draped in architectural grace—yet they lack the comfort one might reasonably expect from such noble surroundings. To reach one’s chamber requires negotiating a most labyrinthine system of lifts, a small penance perhaps, forgivable in light of the building’s antiquity. Alas, the service proved lamentably wanting. The staff, though cordial, spoke in an English of middling competence, bereft of the refined vocabulary that might befit a traveller in pursuit of luxury and cultivated charm. No counsel was offered regarding the manifold treasures of the city, and, most grievously, I was left to languish in the lobby unattended until, wearied by neglect, I was compelled to rise and approach the reception desk myself. In sum, this is a house of rare beauty, but until its service attains the same height as its stones, it shall remain a palace in appearance only, not in hospitality.
