Holiday Inn Express at its best. Wonderful location, clean rooms, friendly service. Our friends got a room with amazing terrace overlooking the city and our room was so big, it fitted an extra bed and a baby cot.

Nice hotel room, though there were a bit of stains on the carpet. Service was nice they helped us reach the bridge. Location was amazing. It is near the most blue tile made church in the world. It is also near the Bolhao metro station. Overall a nice experience at Holiday Inn Express Santa Catarina city centre.

Holiday Inn Express Porto City Centre is a great option for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a central location. The hotel is within walking distance of many of Porto’s main attractions, restaurants, and shops, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The room was clean, modern, and well-designed, with a comfortable bed and good soundproofing. The staff was friendly and professional, and the complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of fresh options. While the room size was a bit compact, it was well-organized and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Unfriendly staff. Overall, a very good experience and a reliable choice for a city break in Porto.

Unpleasant Stay Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The room was uncomfortably warm, and the wall thermostat appeared to be non-functional—it only controlled the fan, not the actual temperature. I called the front desk three times throughout the night. On the first two calls, I was told the temperature would be lowered, but nothing changed. On the third call, I was informed there was no mechanic on duty. It seems the hotel may not be running enough chillers to adequately cool guest rooms, which is unacceptable in the middle of summer. Additionally, the mattress was lumpy and the pillows felt cheap and unsupportive. At nearly $120 per night, I expected a higher standard of comfort and responsiveness.
