convenient location - friendly staff

This was good quality for the rate. The room was recently refurbished, we'll appointed and clean. There was no window outside and an odd postbox window on to the corridor outside, covered by a blind. It was however in a good location and incredibly quiet even though it is located on a very busy street.

I won't stay here again. I don't like the noise, unadjustable air-conditioning and the tight bathroom. Stayed at the park-view room on Level 3, I can hear the noise from the busy street. Even after midnight, it was never quiet. In the room, I had no control over the air-conditioning. It was cold. I was freezing at around 4am and had to put on my puffer jacket to go back to sleep. I did see a blanket placed on the top shelf, but not sure if it has been there for long so I didn't trouble to reach it. The bathroom is very very small and tight. The limited space made me feel hard to relax. A wall-mounted hair dryer provided which was not my favourite. The bathroom was so narrow, it wasn't enjoyable to stay there drying my hair. Also, there was no hook to hand clothes. Otherwise, the location is convenient. It is easy to walk to shops, cafes and the CBD. The room itself is beautiful with the natural light.

Despite the very uninspiring street impression, the hotel was quite nice inside ..or I would have left ! However, for some weird reason I ended up booked in an 'internal' room. I have no idea why and would certainly never opt to do that again. The room itself was spacious and had all required needs..but..small bathroom, the shower door only opened inwards so water went everywhere. If you were a big bloke or lady I honestly don't believe you could safely shower. The lighting is hopeless, so impossible to put make up on. I had to go to the bathroom in shopping centre nearby to 'do' my face. The room needs a full length NON TINTED mirror..possibly on back of entry door. Also a decent painting/artwork/ mirror to make up for lack of windows so it doesn't feel so coffin like. Great location. But need the lighting for make up application and a decent mirror are a MUST. I ended up moving to Meriton Suites Bondi Junction for my last 3 days .where I got a full 1 brm unit- seperate bath and shower, fully set up kitchen and bathroom , laundry, large balcony, separate bedroom plus views for LESS $$$$. and it is right on top of main train, bus hub, so extremely convenient. Likely Meriton will be my first choice next time..despite the great city location of Breakfree
