Very pleasant stay in a secure and private apartment with sea views and all mod cons including a well equipped kitchen. Recommended all round. Pleasantly quiet during the week and outside school holidays. We enjoyed our stay and will be back when visiting Australia.

Our apartment was perfect for our 6-night family stay, with excellent kitchen facilities, our own laundry, and two bathrooms. Really roomy, so that kids could have space away from eachother when needed! On initial glance the interiors do seem dated but I think it feels much more comfortable for a family holiday, and definitely the overall facilities supersede any image worries. Used barbecue by the pool once, just lovely. From the apartment, Gorgeous view out to the water, and short walk for a morning coffee!

Relaxed Family Stay with Great Ocean Views BreakFree Caloundra is in a great location right along the Caloundra Esplanade, with easy access to beautiful beaches and boardwalks. We stayed as a family in a 6th-floor ocean-side apartment and loved the views. If you’re after views like I am, I’d recommend the 5th floor or higher, as there’s another building in front. The apartment was a little dated — picture green bathroom tiles, blue carpets, and an old, dark-brown leather sofa — but it was clean. Given BreakFree is one of Accor’s budget brands, it's OK. For dinner, Amici Italian just 500 metres up the same street was a real highlight — great food. We enjoyed it so much we took takeaway from there twice!

Lovely place to stay and close to everything, and excellent staff. With having your own four person spa and BBQ was really good, but I think it's only with the roof top rooms. We definitely be going back.
