Banyan Tree Bintan can be found on Bintan Island, off the coast of Singapore, in a secluded location nestled against the hillside and surrounded by rainforest. From Changi Singapore Airport (SIN), drive 10 minutes to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and board a one-hour ferry to Bintan Island. Transfers are not included. Please plan accordingly.

Please note, the Singapore to Bintan Island ferry currently only departs once per week. Please check the ferry timetables carefully before booking this package.

Ferry transfers (charges apply): Several daily fast ferries connect Bandar Bentan Telani Terminal to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore in less than an hour. Guests must book their flight to Singapore, then catch a ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Bandar Bentan Telani Terminal. Ferries to the island currently only operate once a week, and roundtrip ferry transfers are not included. Please plan accordingly.

We visited as a family and had a truly wonderful experience. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and happy to engage in conversation, which made us feel right at home. One staff member, Kasir, went above and beyond — he remembered all of our names and even shared stories about his own family, which made the experience feel especially personal and memorable. The scenery was stunning, the room was spotless and comfortable thanks to frequent cleaning, and the meals were excellent. We’d absolutely love to come back if we have the chance. It’s a truly special place.

Just back from a wonderful stay at Banyan Tree Bintan. The service here and support from friendly staff was exceptional. Beautifully styled rooms with stunning oceanfront views are well maintained by dedicated hardworking staff. There’s a resort Whatapp to answer any of your questions within a few minutes. Nothing is too much to ask. Buggy drivers arrive promptly to pick you up and take you anywhere on the resort with their pleasure. We liked the pools on site, with prompt pool service and guests who really aren’t the type to rush to save sunbeds first thing in morning then disappear to breakfast. That’s not the Banyan way. There’s a choice of three top quality restaurants; Indonesian, Thai or European but we also benefited from two other sister resorts next door with beach dining and other shared activities. This was great for our teen/20s children who loved the sports, bikes, water sports, sea turtle conservation as well as the Banyan’s own program of activities. We enjoyed a tree trek with lovely knowledgeable local guide. Well done and thank you Banyan tree xx

This is a brilliant hotel. We had an oceanfront villa with views of the sea. The villa had a small pool which was lovely. It was so private and you can’t see any other rooms from your villa. The staff at this hotel are really fantastic - so friendly and helpful. We had dinner at Saffron which was an incredible meal. The whole setting of the hotel on the sea is just stunning. Will be back!

Difficult to rate this one. Let me start with the good things. Location is nice , the villas have lots of privacy and the beach is nice. ( for Bintan standards, don’t expect Maldives or Barbados ) the staff is very very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful, choices are great and it’s delicious. Our dinner at Saffron was great, too ! Now comes the BUT: For that amount of money , I do respect constant renovation and upkeeping of all facilities especially the rooms. Our biggest issue was the inconsistent buggy service. We waited from 5-25 minutes for transportation, even with asking where the buggy is we could not speed it up. I really can not get it, I am not the first one to comment this, there are enough buggy’s standing around and sometimes 5 people sitting at check in area without customers. Please! Make sure you have enough buggies floating around. Most of the rooms need this transportation. This topic might keep me from going here again.
