What's Included
- Full day outdoor adventure including mountain biking along the Waikato River trail and kayaking Lake Karapiro + kayak hire & shuttle drop-off
- Options available for 1, 2 or 4 people

- Activities are self-guided so you can go at your own pace. You can upgrade to guided activities, glow worm kayaking and electric bike(s) may be available for an additional cost, please enquire
Day Trip Adventure Itinerary
- Meet at Lake District Adventures Base - 9am
- Load bikes into shuttle and leave for Arapuni Dam - 9:30am
- Ride over to Jones Landing and check out the lake lookout
- View the pink hues of the ignimbrite bluffs of Upper Lake Arapuni
- Ride back via Arapuni Dam, walk or ride the amazing swing bridge through to the village (coffee stop, perhaps?) then back to Lake District Adventures base
- Lunch break at the base - 12-1pm (BYO picnic or head to nearby Tirau)
- Pick up your hire Kayak from the base and explore the southern end of Lake Karapiro, enjoy views of the canyon continue through to the Pokaiwhenua Stream
- Drift /Paddle back down the stream and back on the lake to Home Base
- Must return back to base with kayak by 4.30pm

Max group size of 10 people (may do larger groups but call first to discuss). This 1 Day Adventure requires only a moderate level of fitness. For Kayaking bring light, warm clothing (no jeans). Personal flotation devices, dry bags etc provided. Overpants, neoprene shoes & spare thermals available. Bike hire option is Hard Tail Trail Bike, includes Helmet, Lock & tyre repair kit. Range of bike sizes available please mention requirements when booking. Activities are self guided so you can go at your own pace, can upgrade to guided activities & also electric bike(s) may be available for additional cost please enquire. Bike/Kayak HIRE is subject to Lake District Adventures Terms of Hire (bond will be required). For lunch: BYO picnic or head to nearby Tirau. No exchanges.
