This document discloses our information gathering and usage practices in relation to the Treat Me website. For additional information about the Treat Me website, please review our Terms and Conditions.
Capitalised terms in this privacy policy that are not defined carry the meaning set out in the Terms and Conditions.
Use of your information
We collect personal information about you through your use of Treat Me, including your registration details and information relating to your use of the website and the content you access.
We may use this personal information to help us provide the Service to you, to verify your identity, to enforce or apply our terms and conditions, to protect the rights, property, or safety of RWL, our users, or others, for research purposes, and for any other use that you authorise.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We release account and other personal information only when we believe release is appropriate for legal compliance and law enforcement (including to government agencies with statutory law enforcement responsibilities); to facilitate court proceedings; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or protect the rights, property, or safety of RWL, our users, or others. You can contact us to ask whether such information has been provided.
In the event that we sell the Treat Me business, your membership details will be provided to the new owner to ensure you can continue using the Service. In this event, we will email you in advance, advising of the change, and explain how you can update or remove your details.
Membership registration
Our site's registration process requires you to provide us with your name and contact information and may also require demographic information. We may also use your contact information to contact you, send you information about our Service, our company and promotional material from some of our affiliated partners.

We use email as a means of receiving feedback from our members, and we encourage you to email us with your questions or comments.
Sharing deals
The Treat Me website allows Treat Me users to communicate deals to other friends and contacts via means such as email, Facebook and Twitter. You may not use the sharing function to send spam or otherwise send content that would violate this privacy policy or Terms and Conditions. We do not permanently store, sell, or rent these email messages or the email addresses.

Treat Me users may be able to connect their Facebook account using Facebook Connect. By allowing access to your Facebook account, your basic information, and other profile data may be shared with us.
To find out more about connecting with Facebook, view the Facebook Platform Policies.
Treat Me users may be able to share Deals on their Twitter accounts. By sharing Deals and interacting on Twitter we may monitor this publically available activity and information.

Vouchers purchased on Treat Me may be accessed in the 'My Vouchers' section of the website. Vouchers may be emailed to the email address entered upon registration as a Treat Me user.
Your name, or the recipient's name or if you purchase a Voucher for a gift, will be printed on the Voucher and provided to the advertiser of the relevant Deal.
Control of your password
You are responsible for all actions taken with your Treat Me account, email address and password. Therefore, we do not recommend that you disclose your Treat Me password to any third parties. If you choose to share your user name, email address and password or your information with third parties to provide you additional services, you are responsible for all actions taken with this information and therefore you should review that third party's privacy policy.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Ensure you logout when you have finished visiting the website, especially if you access the website from a shared computer.
Credit card security
We work diligently to protect the security of your personal information, including credit card information.
We protect your credit card information during transmission by using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information when transmitted over the Internet. We retain only partial card details. However they may be held by either Direct Payment Solutions (DPS) (review their Privacy Policy) or Paystation (review their Privacy Policy) depending on which provider processes the transaction.
We automatically save your credit card details on your account for ease of payment for each Deal transaction. Your credit card details are encrypted and securely stored by DPS, and you can remove your credit card details on your account at any time.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your web browser in a file on your computer's hard drive when you use our website. We use cookies to deliver information and fresh content specific to your interests and to improve the experience of using our site. Cookies are widely used on most major websites.
We use "session" cookies to temporarily store information to help you use the website. This information is used to deliver the right content to you as you use the website and avoids unnecessarily asking you to log in. Session cookies expire immediately when you close your web browser or are deleted after 30 minutes of no activity on Treat Me.
We also use "persistent" cookies to personalise the user experience, to help protect our members and to provide us with research information (such as how often members visit Treat Me each month). Persistent cookies allow us to track users on Treat Me and help us identify users abusing the Treat Me Service. A persistent auto-login cookie is also stored when Treat Me users select the "remember me" option when logging in. The auto-login cookie is removed when the Treat Me user logs out.
We also participate in Google's AdWords pay-per-click advertising programme. AdWords advertisements appear on Google's search result pages and on the Google Network. Google uses cookies to measure the number of Google users that click on an advertisement and visit certain Treat Me web pages, or who complete certain actions on the website. Google provides this data to Treat Me without identifying the users. View Google's privacy policy.
Advertising and third party links
Some Treat Me advertisers may request information directly from users, or link to sites that do so. RWL has no control over its advertisers' privacy policies, and encourages users to review such policies prior to submitting any personal information to them.
The Treat Me website may contain non-advertising links to third party sites to enhance the member experience. We have no control of either the content or privacy policies of such sites, nor should such links be considered an endorsement of these sites except where otherwise noted.
In some cases, third party advertisers may also use cookies in certain advertisements or links that appear on the website for advertising purposes.
Other information we collect
We use additional information to do internal research on our users' demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our site or not), what browser you are using, and your IP address.
Users who login may have their IP addresses recorded. This information will only be provided to legal authorities in cases of suspected fraud or for law enforcement purposes. This information is stored securely and will not be provided to other members or non-authorised parties.
If you choose to discuss the deal on the Treat Me Discussion Board, we will collect that information you write on the Discussion Board.
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the Treat Me Discussion Board, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.
Treat Me membership removal
If you wish to have your registration removed from our directory for any reason, you may send us an email requesting this.
Internet statistics – Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect information about use of the site, such as the number of visitors per day or the number of pages requested per day. To do this, we have a small piece of code on each page which counts these statistics.
For more information, view Google Analytics terms of service.
iPhone application
If you accept that Treat Me can send you "Push Notifications", you agree to receive Treat Me notifications even if your Treat Me iPhone app is not running. "Push Notifications" can be configured in Settings.
RWL may use a third party application to collect mobile data for performance analysis, usage behaviour, technical information about your mobile device, firmware and carrier etc. This information is confidential and available only to RWL in an aggregate form and individual user data is not identifiable. The data collected allows RWL to continue to develop an application that is suitable to members' needs.
Updates to our information practices
From time to time, we make changes to our information practices or alter the functionality of our website. We always update this statement accordingly, so we encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
