- Discover your vocal range and part; tenor, lead, baritone or bass
- Learn all about singing;- posture, breath management, phonation, resonance, articulation and more
- If you can sing in tune, no former training or experience is necessary
- If you pass their evaluation, there will be opportunities to sing at several venues around Christchurch
- Audition for their senior chorus where you could perform at the National convention and in shows and concerts
- You can stay after your lesson to watch and maybe join in with the Senior Chorus. Their evening finishes at 9:45pm
- This 6-week block commences 23rd July - Mon 27th August

You will be taught by their accomplished instructors, many of whom are gold medal winners, you will also receive feedback from your peers. This year marks the Christchurch Chorus's 30th anniversary. The chorus is part of a National and International organisation devoted to the furtherance of singing ‘A cappella’ (singing without musical accompaniment).
The course runs for six weeks, an hour per week, commencing on July 23. Attendance is not mandatory but you will miss steps unless you attend all sessions. Instruction is done in easily managed groups. Members are of all ages and share a love of singing, they sing an eclectic mix of contemporary songs and old favourites.
Singing is good for health too. not only for the obvious reasons of breathing and posture but its a mental exercise to learn and rehearse the words and music.
