We had a ball here today with our kids, it's exactly as advertised...a slice of kiwi paradise! The setting is beautiful, plenty of farm animals to be seen & fed (and appear very well cared for!) and many other fun kids activities such as bike riding courses, a pirate ship playground and racing car riding, amazing!! Our kids didn't want to leave! Thanks for a great kiwi experience, our kids will have fond memories of this for years!Jacinda F
Best place ever for the kids to enjoy feeding very friendly animals and well cared for. Owners are super friendly and it really is a family friendly place. Highly recommend to all! Had a ball! Thanks Bullswool farm, will be back again for sure!Jaime B
Thoughtfully laid out for kids, with a great variety of friendly well-tended animals and fun outdoor activities. A neat little place, worth the trip. My kids aged 4 & 7 both loved it.Rebecca G
If you really need convincing...
Bullswool Farm Park is not just a farm - it's one step from being a zoo, with a wide range of animals to see with picnic and play areas for the kids!
The farm is near to Waihi, Paeroa and the famous Karangahake Gorge, whose walkway was voted one of the 101 Must-dos for Kiwis. Bullswool Farm Park was recently voted one of The Coromandel's top attractions.
This is a great time of year to get up close to a large variety of rare breed farm animals. All are friendly and can be hand-fed. Follow the 1 km walkway around the farm and on your way meet: miniature horses, donkeys, deer, coloured sheep, emus, ducks, chickens, llamas, kunekune pigs, paint horses, miniature cattle, alpacas, and pygmy goats. This is a chance to enjoy a unique hands-on, authentic working farm experience.
This treat also includes admission to the Big Hills and Thrills Bike Track - a mountain bike track for kids aged 6 - 12, where they'll take a pedal-free balance bike on a wild ride downhill!
The Gold & Kauri Heritage Museum and Bush Discovery Walk looks fantastic and you'll notice a big increase in native bird numbers, as they come in to nest in the reserve. Learn about native New Zealand birds, trees and aquatic life, and about the fascinating history of the Karangahake Gorge's first miners and kauri bushmen.
